Sheridan HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team’s winning streak is now at 37, after going on the road and shutting out Cheyenne Central 41-zip this past Friday.

Quarterback Ty Gilbertson threw for 2 touchdowns, ran one in himself and kicked 2 field goals.

Catching those TD passes were Beck Haswell and Breck Reed.

Garrett Way ran for one score and the defense came through as Rudy Green had a scoop and score late in the game.

With the win, the Broncs have broken Worland’s old unbeaten streak record of 36.

The team is back at home this coming Friday vs. Rock Springs.


Big Horn and Tongue River HS Football: Both Big Horn and Tongue River ended up not playing this past weekend.

Moorcroft decided to forfeit their game against the Rams, and despite all the issues that the Eagles have faced because of the fire, they had to forfeit their game vs. Upton-Sundance.

This Friday BH is scheduled to play at Glenrock, while TR will have their homecoming game vs. Wheatland.

If the evacuation status improves for the Dayton area, the Eagles will be allowed to practice this afternoon.


Sheridan County HS Volleyball: Sheridan County teams all together split their games this past weekend.

Sheridan lost on Thursday at Campbell County, but recovered to sweep Thunder Basin at home on Friday.

The Lady Broncs are next scheduled to play Friday at Cheyenne East and on Saturday at Cheyenne Central.

Big Horn won its lone game of the week on Saturday at home vs. Sundance.

The Lady Rams are next scheduled to play Thursday at home vs. Natrona County.

Tongue River was unable to play last week because of the fire.

If and when the team can resume play, they are next scheduled to host Sundance on Friday and travel to Moorcroft on Saturday.

Arvada-Clearmont lost in their 1A Northeast Quadrant game at Upton back on Friday.

The Lady Panthers are next scheduled to play this Friday and Saturday at the Kaycee Invitational.


Sheridan HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan split dual competitions vs. both Gillette teams in their home finale back on Friday and then placed 2nd out of 5 teams at the Kelly Walsh Invitational on Saturday.

The Lady Broncs are next scheduled to compete this Friday and Saturday at Buffalo.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks split weekend home games vs. Great Falls.

The visitors won on Friday 5-1, and then the home team won the rematch on Saturday 4-2.

Sheridan is back on the road this coming weekend against Helena who are the defending Frasier Cup Champs.


Denver Broncos Football: After falling behind 10-zip after one quarter, the Denver Broncos would get their act together and beat the Las Vegas Raiders at home 34-18.

Quarterback Bo Nix had a much better game as he was 19 of 27 passing for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns and he ran one in himself.

Jaleel McLaughlin and Josh Reynolds were on the receiving end of the TD throws.

After giving up a touchdown on the opening drive of the game, the defense stepped things up a notch.

Pat Surtain II had 2 interceptions, including a 100 yard pick 6.

The Broncos are now 3-2 on the season after winning their 3rd game in a row and are home again this coming Sunday against the LA Chargers.


Denver Nuggets Pre-Season Basketball: The Denver Nuggets dropped both games overseas in Abu Dhabi against the Boston Celtics.

Friday’s score was 107-103 and Sunday’s score was 130-104.

The next pre-season game is this coming Sunday at home vs. Phoenix.


Colorado Avalanche Pre-Season Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost on Saturday at Utah 2-1.

The regular season starts this coming Wednesday at Las Vegas.

The home opener is on Saturday vs. Columbus.


Major League Baseball Playoffs: In the National League Division Series yesterday, Philadelphia would walk-off at home vs. the New York Mets 7-6.

That series is tied at 1 game each.

Game 3 is tomorrow at New York.

Also yesterday, San Diego hit 6 home runs to win at the LA Dodgers 10-2.

That series is also tied at 1 game each.

Game 3 is tomorrow at San Diego.

Today is Game 2 of the American League Division Series.

Cleveland hosts Detroit and the New York Yankees host Kansas City.

The 2 home teams lead their respective series 1-game to none.
