cvannoyJohn B. Kendrick FFA Chapter from Sheridan High School performed well at the state FFA Convention held last week in Cheyenne. Thirty-nine Sheridan FFA members attended.
The members won several awards, which are listed below. One award was the Gold Star Chapter award, for Outstanding Chapter Model of Innovation in Strengthening Agriculture and it was awarded for a podcast with one of their partners, Sheridan Media. Clay Christensen, FFA Advisor at SHS, talked about the award.
Christensen added that the convention went really well.

Two representatives in the FFA Creed Lucie Linden (3rd overall) and Eliana Grover
Extemporaneous speaking finalist (top ten in state)

Agronomy- 4th
Livestock Evaluation- 4th (Jhett West Second overall individual, Ella Hiller High individual in sheep)
Parliamentary Procedure- 6th
Conduct of Chapter meetings- 4th
12 members received their state FFA Degree (only 5% of members receive this degree)
Christensen added that the kids did really well at representing our chapter and our community down there. “I’m really proud of all of them.”
