Sheridan HS Soccer: The Sheridan High School Soccer teams don’t get much of an opportunity to play non-conference games during the short season, but the boys and girls made the most of it this past weekend.
Both the Broncs and Lady Broncs were victorious in their season opening games this past weekend vs. Worland and Buffalo.

Both the Broncs and Lady Broncs start 4A East Conference play this weekend vs. Cheyenne South on Friday and against Laramie on Saturday.
The boys play at home, while the girls will be on the road.
Sheridan County HS Outdoor Track and Field: The Sheridan varsity team will head to Broomfield, Colorado for a meet on Saturday.
Tongue River and Arvada-Clearmont will start their seasons this coming Friday at Newcastle.
University of Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls will continue to play the waiting game, in terms of which team they will face next, along with where and when.
The 48-team Women’s NIT Bracket was released yesterday and UW got a first round bye.
The Cowgirls will play the winner of Thursday’s game between Northern Colorado and UT-San Antonio.
It has not been announced where that game will be played, but we do know that Round 2 games are scheduled to be played sometime between this coming Saturday and next week Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Boise State will play in the first round of the WNIT.
The Lady Broncos play tomorrow night at Montana.
Men’s College Basketball: The NCAA tournament starts tonight with 2 of the first 4 games to be played in Dayton, Ohio.
Colorado State plays tonight at 7:10 vs. Virginia.
The winner will advance to play Texas in the Round of 64 on Thursday.
Boise State plays tomorrow at 7:10pm vs. Colorado.
The winner plays Friday against Florida.
Also tomorrow, Sheridan High School grad Sam Lecholat and the Montana State Bobcats play Grambling State at 4:40pm.
The winner moves on to play Purdue.
As for the other Mountain West Conference Teams that are in the Round of 64, Nevada plays on Thursday, while San Diego State, New Mexico and Utah State all play on Friday.
In the men’s NIT, UNLV plays tomorrow at Princeton.
Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies had yesterday off and will play a split squad game today at home vs. Cleveland and at Seattle.
The first regular season game for the Rockies is one week from this coming Thursday, however, we are less than 24 hours away from the start of the 2024 Major League Baseball Regular Season.
The LA Dodgers and the San Diego Padres will play a 2-game series starting tomorrow in Seoul, South Korea.
Both games start at 4:05am Mountain time, and the teams will alternate which one is the home team.
