A Sheridan Bronc is about to become a Battlin’ Bear.

Terran Grooms has signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play football at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

This past season, he was 5th in the state in Class 4A with 820 yards rushing and also scored 14 touchdowns.

The senior has been playing football since 6th grade and also participates in wrestling and soccer.

He explains why football ended up being his sport of choice.

“I was actually told by a wrestling coach that if you’re on the fence with between both wrestling and football, it’s probably better to go with football, since wrestling is a totally different sport when it comes to grinding and it just takes a lot of motivation.”

Grooms says he was also considering Dickinson State, Montana Western, and Carroll College

He adds he plans to major in education and social studies.
