Wyoming High School Football All-State Selections: All-State lists for high School Football are now available.

8 players from Sheridan, 6 from Big Horn, 3 from Tongue River, 5 from Buffalo and 1 from Kaycee were selected.

For the Sheridan Broncs, Dane Steel was a unanimous selection as a wide receiver, a defensive back, a return specialist and he was named the 4A offensive and defensive players of the year.

This is the second year in a row that he has won the defensive honors.

As a receiver he caught 44 passes for 970 yards and that yardage was tops in Class 4A.

The Senior explains how he did his thing.

Also, Alex Haswell was a unanimous selection for both offensive and defensive lineman and was named 4A lineman of the year.

High School Wrestling Practice Starts: Practice for both high school basketball and wrestling started yesterday.

On the mat, the Sheridan Broncs are the defending 4A state champs and having the bulls-eye on their back isn’t something they’re used to, seeing how last season was only the second time that they won the state title, but the team is not complaining.

Head Coach Tyson Shatto says if anything, having that bull-eye has drawn some interest.

Sheridan will start the season with a home dual vs. Worland on Thursday, December 7th.

Wyoming Cowboy Football: The Wyoming Cowboys arguably played their best game of the season this past Saturday in a 42-to-9 home finale win against Hawaii.

Quarterback Andrew Peasley was 14-of-17 passing for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Another stat that sticks out for the team…zero penalties!

Coach Craig Bohl says he saw lots of good things on both sides of the ball.

The Pokes conclude the 2023 regular season this Saturday at Nevada.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.

You can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Wyoming Cowgirl and Cowboy Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls are on the court later this morning as they host Chadron State.

Tip off is scheduled for 11am.

The next game for the Cowboys is this coming Sunday at Texas.

Tip off is scheduled for 1pm.

Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos will once again be without the services of safety Kareem Jackson.

The league suspended him 4-games without pay for his hit on Minnesota Viking quarterback Joshua Dobbs in the first quarter.

Jackson lowered his head and hit Dobbs in the face mask forcing a fumble, and the refs did not call a penalty.

Jackson was suspended one month ago for an illegal hit in the game against Green Bay.

The Broncos are at home this coming Sunday vs. Cleveland.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05pm.

Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets snapped their 2-game skid last night with a 107-to-103 win at Detroit.

The defending champs are now 10-and-4 on the season and play again tomorrow at Orlando.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche gave up 2 goals in the final minute and dropped a 4-to-3 game at Nashville.

The Predators tied the game with 38 seconds to go, and then scored again 16 seconds later.

The Avs are back on the ice tomorrow at home vs. Vancouver.

Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are at home this weekend vs. Cody.

The puck drops at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday.
