The quarterback who threw for a touchdown and then caught the state championship winning 2-point conversion for his team, is taking his skills to the college level.

Big Horn Ram Senior Cooper Garber has signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play football at the University of Sioux Falls, in South Dakota.

The past season he led BH to a 2A State Championship, and threw for more than 2-thousand yards along the way, which was tops in 2A and the 4th most yardage of all Wyoming 11-man teams.

With those kinds of numbers, Garber says he wasn’t ready to put away his pads just yet.

“I’ve been playing football since I can remember and something about the physicality of it and the team aspect, I enjoy it so much and I just couldn’t see myself letting it go just yet, so I knew I wanted to continue my football career somewhere.”

Garber adds he is considering a career in sports marketing and media.

The University of Sioux Falls is a Private Baptist University.

The Cougars compete at the NCAA Division 2 level within the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
