It’s the athletes that win the games, events, and championships, but the coaches have something to do with it.
Sheridan High School Coaches Tyson Shatto (4A Boys Wrestling) and Taylor Kelting (4A Girls Indoor Track and Field) were named Coaches of the Year, for the Winter 2022-2023 sports season, by the Wyoming Coaches Association.
Shatto coached the Bronc wrestlers to their 2nd state championship in school history (the other in 1990), while Kelting coached the Lady Broncs Indoor Track and Field athletes to the school’s first state championship.
Kirk McLaughlin of Big Horn was named Assistant Coach of the Year in Indoor Track and Field.
