Sheridan HS Football: Despite getting the win last Friday against Cheyenne East, the Sheridan Bronc football team is not surprised with how the game started.

The Thunderbrids used their no-huddle offense and their quickness to jump out to a 14-nothing lead after one quarter…not to mention they had 526 yards of total offense in the game.

Sheridan Coach Jeff Mowry says he knew what East was going to do, and it was difficult to prepare all last week, but as long as the Broncs stuck to their plan, they would eventually catch a break.

Jeff Mowry

“You can’t emulate that speed and that no huddle offense that they run. They got guys that are just fast, I mean flat out fast and it’s hard for us to emulate that throughout the week and so we talked as a coaching staff and knew that probably that first quarter might be a little tough. It’s just hard to emulate that and you saw that. They go up 14-zero but we just told our guys we kind of knew that was going to be tough, we hadn’t seen that before. We just go to keep battling and battling and battling.”

Sheridan is on the road this Friday against Kelly Walsh.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm in Casper.

Denver Broncos Football: Not only did the Denver Broncos lose this past Sunday at Las Vegas, they also lost their starting running back.

Javonte Williams tore his ACL during the game, and an MRI has revealed a torn posterior lateral corner.

Translation…he’s done for the season.

The Broncos have little time to regroup as they play this Thursday at home against Indianapolis.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15pm.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won their second game in a row as they won last night at the LA Dodgers by a score of 2-to-1.

There are 2 games left in the season.

First pitch tonight is scheduled for 8:10.

Denver Nuggets Pre-Season Basketball: The Denver Nuggets started their pre-season schedule yesterday with a 112-to-101 loss at home against Oklahoma City.

The Nuggets are back on the court for another pre-season game on Friday at Chicago.

The regular season starts 2 weeks from tomorrow.

Colorado Avalanche Pre-Season Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche picked up a pre-season win on the road against Dallas last night 3-to-1.

The defending Stanley Cup champs play one more pre-season game at home against Dallas tomorrow.

The regular season begins one week from tomorrow, as the Avs host the Chicago Blackhawks.

Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks had last weekend off from competition.

They will be back on the ice this Friday and Saturday at Rapid City.

The next home game is 1 week from Friday against Gillette.
