Sheridan County HS Football: All 3 Sheridan County High School Football teams are on the road tonight on this first Friday of September.

Sheridan will play at Thunder Basin.

Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the Broncs already know that this game is going to be nothing like last week’s game vs. Cheyenne South.

There will be ups and downs and the team needs to make sure that when the downs happen, they don’t get on themselves too much.

You can watch a LIVE video stream of tonight’s game at sheridanmedia.com and you can also hear Shane Parker with the LIVE radio play-by-play on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The pregame show starts at 5:30pm, and kickoff is at 6.

Also kicking off at 6 o’clock, Big Horn plays at Lovell and Tongue River at Thermopolis.

Sheridan County HS Volleyball: Sheridan and Big Horn will play today and tomorrow at the 24-team Gillette Invitational.

Today, the Lady Broncs will take on Wright, Kelly Walsh and Rapid City St. Thomas More, while the Lady Rams play Wheatland, Laramie and Riverton.

Saturday’s schedule is dependent on Friday’s results.

Tongue River will play at the Wind River Invitational in Pavillion.

Today the Lady Eagles take on Saratoga and the host team.

Tomorrow they play Big Piney, Shoshoni and Rocky Mountain.

Arvada-Clearmont is at home today to start 1A Northeast Quadrant play.

The Lady Panthers take on Upton starting at 6pm.

Tomorrow A-C plays at Midwest starting at 10am.

Afterwards, they will head to Kaycee to play a game against Rock River, starting at 2pm.

Sheridan County HS Golf: Sheridan has made a late add to the schedule.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs will host a 1-day meet today at the Powder Horn Golf Course, starting at 1pm.

Meanwhile, Tongue River and Big Horn will play in a 1-day meet today at Wright.

Sheridan HS Tennis: Sheridan is at home this weekend for a pair of matches.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs play Cheyenne South today starting at 10am.

Tomorrow they’ll take on Torrington at 12-noon.

Sheridan HS Cross Country: Sheridan, Big Horn and Tongue River all will compete today at the Buffalo Invitational.

The varsity girls race is scheduled to begin at 3pm, and the boys varsity race at about 3:25.

Sheridan HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan will compete in a dual tomorrow at Buffalo.

Start time is scheduled for 10am.

Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The season starts today for the Sheridan Hawks as the team will play a 2-game series at Great Falls.

The puck drops at 7:05pm for both games.

Last year, the team missed the playoffs by 4 points in the standings.

Part of that reason was that the team started the season out poorly, winning only 4 of their first 20 games.

The Hawks eventually recovered to get themselves into the playoff chase, but came up short in the end.

Head Coach J.J. Santagata says some of the players back then didn’t put a lot of heart into the games.

This year the coaching staff has been trying to install a more serious approach within the players.

Sheridan will play their home opener, 1 week from tomorrow against Gillette.

Sheridan College Rodeo: The season starts this weekend for Sheridan College.

Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in Chadron, Nebraska to start the fall portion of the schedule.

Competitors earn points based on what place they finish in at each of the 10 rodeo events.

Half of the season will take place this month and next.

Points earned carry over the winter break and into the spring season which runs in March and April of next year.

The top 3 in each individual event at the end of the season, will qualify for the 2025 College National Finals Rodeo, which is held in June in Casper.

Sheridan College is scheduled to host their rodeo event September 27th-29th at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys play in their home opener tomorrow against Idaho.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Denver Broncos Football: The season for the Denver Broncos starts on Sunday at Seattle.

Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 2:05pm and you can hear that game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won last night at Atlanta 3-1, to avoid a 3-game sweep.

Michael Toglia and Ezequiel Tovar each hit solo home runs in the game.

Today the Rocks start a 3-game series at Milwaukee.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:10pm.

Tomorrow’s game is scheduled to start at 5:10pm and Sunday’s game begins at 12:10pm.
