Sheridan HS Football: It wasn’t much of a game, but the Sheridan Bronc football team started the 2024 season this past Friday, by scoring 8 touchdowns on offense, and run one punt back for another, while the defense came up with a fumble recovery in the end zone for a score, delivered 2 safeties, and scored a pick 6 on the last play of the game to beat Cheyenne South 79-zip.
If there’s a little bit of a downside, it’s that the starters did not get to play much, and Coach Jeff Mowry says that does not give the coaching staff much to work with in terms of figuring out what went right and what went wrong, but they’ll find something.
Mowry adds on the flip side, the reserves got plenty of playing time which can help build depth and experience on the team, which can pay off later on.
