Sheridan College Rodeo Coach Marc Gilkerson Resigns His Position

Sheridan College is searching for a new coach for its rodeo team.

At the Tuesday, July 16th 2024 meeting of the Northern Wyoming Community College District Board of Directors, Sheridan College President Dr. Walter Tribley announced that College Rodeo Coach Marc Gilkerson has resigned.

He had been the coach of the program for about 15 seasons and in each of the previous 13 (including the 2023-2024 season), SC has had at least 1 representative in the College National Finals Rodeo.

Gilkerson was named the NIRA Central Rocky Mountain Region Coach of the Year for the 2022-2023 season.

Dr. Tribley says a search for an interim rodeo coach is underway.
