Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team split a conference double-header yesterday at Jackson.

In the first game, Frankie Maestri pitched 5 1/3rd innings, and struck out 12, but the Troopers only managed 3 hits off of Jackson’s ace pitcher and lost in walk off fashion 1-nothing.

In the second game, Tyler Riesen pitched 6 1/3rd innings, struck out 12, and Sheridan provided some run support to win 7-2.

Pitcher Avon Barney says the team has had their ups and downs this season, but now is the time to be on the up side, and stay there.

The Troopers are back at home this coming Sunday for their final conference games of the season vs. Gillette.

First pitch is scheduled for 5pm.

Wyoming Coaches Association All-Star Girls Basketball: Practice starts today in Casper for Saturday’s Wyoming Coaches Association All-Star Volleyball and Basketball Games.

In the girls basketball game, Sheridan High School Coach Ryan Sullivan was named coach of the north team.

His team will have a Lady Bronc like feel to it, because Adeline Burgess, Alli Ligocki and Addie Pendergast are all on the team, along with 7 other players.

Coach Sullivan says it’s going to be good to coach those 3 one last time and a few that he’s had to coach against this past season, that are now on his side.

Saturday’s All-Star Girls Basketball game is scheduled to begin at 3pm from Casper College.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The American League won last night’s All-Star Game 5-3.

He had one plate appearance and struck out.

As for the Rockies, they’ll be back in action on Friday, as the team starts a 6-game homestand with 3 games against San Francisco, followed by 3 vs. Boston.
