Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team will be back in action this weekend at another tournament, although compared to Omaha, this one won’t be as far away.

Beginning Thursday, the Troopers will compete in a tournament at Billings, Montana.

On that first day, the team will play the Lightning Baseball Academy out of Parker, Colorado, at 2:30pm, and then play Great Falls, Montana after that.

The next home game for Sheridan is on Tuesday, July 9th.

Wyoming High School Basketball: This past season the game was a bit different particularly at the free throw line.

The one and bonus situation was eliminated, and teams would be awarded 2 free throws starting with the 5th foul committed by the other team in each quarter.

Team fouls would reset to zero at the start of the next quarter.

Players such as Mesa Hanft of Sheridan says the change in the rules didn’t affect much for her, once she got used to it, which didn’t take long.

Tongue River girls basketball coach, Amanda Cummins says the rule change took a little bit of adjusting, but there were a few times when the new rule became a hindrance.

Starting December 2026, things will change again, when the shot clock makes its way into the game.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies were off yesterday and will start a 2-game series today at Houston beginning at 6:10pm.

Thursday is another off day and then after that, the Rockies will start a 3-game series at the Chicago White Sox.

NHL Stanley Cup Finals: The Florida Panthers would recover, and defeat Edmonton last night 2-1, to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

The Panthers had won the first 3 games of the best-of-7 series only to see the Oilers come all the way back and tie things up at 3, heading into last night.

Edmonton did get one consolation prize.

Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe trophy which goes to the playoff MVP.
