The Wyoming High School Rodeo season concluded this past weekend at Rock Springs with the State Finals Rodeo.
Cowboys and cowgirls earn points based on where they finish at each rodeo throughout the fall and spring seasons and the top 4 in the standings in each event after this past weekend, qualify for the High School National Finals Rodeo, that will take place next month, also in Rock Springs.
A total of 9 cowboys and cowgirls from North-Central Wyoming will head to the HSNFR.
Abagail Olson of Sheridan is the state champ in Barrel Racing.
She also finished in a tie for 2nd in the pole bending.
Colson Myers of Buffalo is the state champ in Steer Wrestling.
Cam Johnson of Buffalo and his partner Cael Espenscheid of Big Piney are state champs in the team roping.
Kamry Davis of Buffalo qualified in the barrel racing, as did Bleu Butler in the breakaway roping.
Kolby Smith of Sheridan was 3rd in the Bull Riding.
Karly Peterson of Buffalo will be in Rock Springs next month in the Girls cutting.
Wyatt Holland of Clearmont will compete in the trap shooting and light rifle.
Finally Cooper Justis of Parkman made it in the Reined Cow Horse event.
