STATE CROSS COUNTRY – Our Sheridan county cross country teams finished up their season Saturday at the state championships in Cheyenne.
The Sheridan Lady Broncs were 4th overall with Kayley Alicke finishing 6th, the Broncs were 6th lead by Landrum Wiley with a 12th place finish.
The Tongue River runners were lead by Grace Perkins in 5th place and Laken Walker in 9th place, they finished 3rd as a team, the Eagles were lead by Isaiah Cote with an 8th place finish the Eagles were 9th as a team.
For Big Horn Ava Byrd lead the Lady Rams with a 4th place finish and full results of all the state meet races can be seen right now on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com.
BRONC FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Broncs beat Campbell county 56-14 to end their regular season at 9-0 and winners of 28 straight games.
Broncs Head coach Jeff Mowry says Campbell county has a good team and it took a while for the Broncs to slow them down.
The play of the game was at the end of the first half with time running out and the Broncs attempting a field goal they had a bad snap and holder Dane Steel was able to get the ball in the End zone for a touchdown as time ran out to give the Broncs a three TD advantage heading into the 2nd half.
And now Mowry says all the regular season wins are behind them as they get ready to open the playoffs Friday night at home against Casper Kelly Walsh.
RAMS / EAGLES FOOTBALL – The Big Horn and Tongue River football teams closed out their 2023 regular seasons with victories the Rams whipped Burns 62-14 and Tongue River won on the road at Wheatland 21-7.
In the 2A playoffs this week the Rams host Lovell and Tongue River will play at Lyman.
COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys prep for a road trip to Boise state continues this week they play at the Broncos Saturday afternoon at 3:30 you can hear the game live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.
BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos beat Green Bay Sunday for their first home win of the season, this Sunday they host Kansas City it’s a 2:25 kickoff you can hear the action live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.
VOLLEYBALL – Our Sheridan county volleyball teams closed out their regular seasons over the weekend, this week it’s regional tournament time the Big Horn and Tongue River teams will play at their regional tournament in Wright play starts Friday.
The Lady Broncs are hosting the 4A East regional they will be the #3 seed when play starts Friday.
SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers were 5th at their conference meet full results can be seen on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com. they are off this week and open the state championships in Gillette November 2nd.
JUNIOR HAWKS – The Sheridan Junior Hawks swept games in over the weekend beat the Yellowstone Quake 4-3 and 2-1, they are back on the road this for two in Butte, Montana.
