HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS / COVID-19 – The outbreak has forced the cancellation of the Wyoming state 3-A and 4-A state basketball tournament.
The Wyoming High School Activities Association made the call after play had begun Thursday morning after consulting with the Department of Health, we visited with Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says the current situation with the virus pandemic is so foreign to us all.
The start of the spring sports season is set for next week and with the basketball season ending early all scheduled activities are on the table.
And finally Julian says the bottom line is the unknown and situations will be handled as they come up day by day.
JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Hawks season may have come an end as division three hockey shut down the playoffs yesterday following the lead from other major sports groups including the NHL, here’s Hawks Head coach Andy Schieb.
