FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Broncs beat Cheyenne Central 26-7 to open the season, Central scored first and the Broncs shut them out the rest of the way for the victory, Head coach Jeff Mowry.
The defense shut down on central after giving up the early score.
And Mowry says now they have game video and will look for a lot of improvement this week when they host Cheyenne South.
The game will kickoff Friday night at 6:00 at Homer Scott stadium.
The Tongue River Eagles open the regular season Friday at home with Thermopolis and the Big Horn Rams will open on the road at Lovell.
SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers were 9th in the Laramie relays and 8th in the pentathlon full results can be seen on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com.
TENNIS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams swept matches with Cody and Powell Saturday.
X-COUNTRY – The Sheridan high school cross country teams were in Casper to start their season, Kayley Alicke lead the Lady Broncs to a 2nd place team finish by winning the girls race, Landrum Wiley was 2nd for the Broncs they finished 4th.
VOLLEYBALL – The Lady Bronc volleyball team went 2-2 at the Lander invitational
The Big Horn Lady Rams went 4-2 at the Douglas invite and the Tongue River Lady Eagles went 2-1-2 at a tournament hosted in the Big Horn basin.
BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos beat the Los Angeles Rams 41-0 in their final preseason game they open the regular season at home against the Los Vegas Raiders September 10th.
