Troopers Season Ends / Jets Drop State Tourney Opener / Rockies Blow a Late Lead and Lose at the Nationals

AMERICAN LEGION “AA” STATE TOURNAMENT – The Sheridan Troopers were knocked out of the “AA” American Legion state tournament in Jackson Wednesday, they fell behind 4-0 against Gillette and dropped the game 4-2.

Laramie knocked out Jackson and Cheyenne Post 6 beat Casper 6-1 so the match ups today has Gillette playing Casper and Laramie plays Post 6.

AMERICAN LEGION “A” STATE TOURNAMENT – The Sheridan Jets fell behind 4-0 early and Powell went onto win 7-1 in last night’s state “A” opener also on day one Cody beat Torrington 10-3, Douglas beat Green River 10-9 and Casper over Lovell 2-1.

Today’s games will have Torrington and Green River at 10 am, then it’s the Jets vs Lovell at 1:00 we will have the game live for you on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM.

This evening in the winner’s bracket Cody will play Douglas at 4:00 and Powell will play Casper at 7:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies blew a 9th inning lead and lost in Washington the Rockies were up 4-1 and gave up four in the 9th to lose 5-4, they are off today and will open a weekend home series tomorrow with the Oakland Athletics.
