Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams had their weekend games called off because of poor travel conditions but they will play tonight at home against Casper Kelly Walsh games times are 5:30 and 7:00 we will have them live for you on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM and on our live video web stream at sheridanmedia.com

They will host Cheyenne East and Central Friday and Saturday,

EAGLES / LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL – The Tongue River basketball teams swept home games with Kaycee and had the rest of the weekend called off.

RAMS / LADY RAMS BASKETBALL – The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams had all three of their scheduled games canceled.

WRESTLING – The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers drilled Natrona county 63-15 in a dual Thursday night and kept the momentum rolling into the Ron Thon invitational in Riverton and came out as the team champs, they were led by four individual champions Kolten Powers, Dane Steel, Terran Grooms and Colson Coon.

The Broncs host a dual with Kelly Walsh Thursday night, matches start at 5:00, then road duals in Cheyenne and Laramie against East, Central, South and Laramie Friday and Saturday.

The Tongue River Eagles had their meet in Montana canceled.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers were able to compete over the weekend in Gillette and the results were very good with the Broncs finishing second in the big invitational meet Saturday, full results can be seen right now on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – Sheridan American Legion baseball held registration for all of their teams Sunday, we sat down with Troopers Head coach Austin Cowen before the event and he says they will have four teams this coming season and the numbers should be outstanding.

And he went onto say the interest in the program has really jumped in the last few summers.

They have a few players working out now in their indoor facility but officially they will get started in a couple weeks.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks hockey team swept Badlands Sabres in Rapid City by scores of 3-2 and 5-0 they play two on the road at the Butte Cobras Friday and Saturday.
