SHERIDAN COUNTY HOOPS – The recent weather and road conditions messed up a few scheduled games on the basketball court this past weekend Sheridan Media’s Kevin Koile has more.
WRESTLING – The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 5th at a tournament in Missoula, Montana this weekend, Kolten Powers and Dane Steel both had 3rd place finishes to lead the Broncs.
The Lady Bronc wrestlers were 2nd at the Newcastle invitational top finishers included Lilly Mountain 3rd at 120 pounds, Ty Harrald 3rd at 125 pounds, Paityn Covolo 1st at 135 pounds, Eva Anderson 3rd at 155 pounds, Bridgette Price 2nd at 170 pounds, Becca Oetken 1st and Kylah Pleines placed 3rd at 190 pounds, and Jada Bohm 1st at 235 pounds.
The Tongue River Eagles were 8th at the Newcastle tournament, Aidan Collingwood placed 3rd at 145 pounds, Caleb Vollmer placed 3rd at 160 pounds, and A.J. Moline placed 1st at 170 pounds
COWBOY HOOPS – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys lost at home to Boise state 85-68 next up for the Pokes is a road game at the Air Force Academy tomorrow night, you can hear it live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM pregame is at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.
SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers had their road trip to Laramie and Cheyenne called off with poor travel conditions so they went to Worland and ended up 2nd in that invitational full results can be seen on the sports page at sheridanemdia.com, this week the Broncs are at home Friday with KW.
TRACK / FIELD – The 2023 indoor track season started Saturday in Gillette full meet results can been seen right now on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com.
JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks dropped both weekend games to the Gillette Wild by scores of 11-3 and 6-3 the Hawks go back out on the road this week for games in Rapid City Friday and Saturday.
