For the 5th time in 7 years, the Wyoming Cowboy Football Team is going bowling.
The Pokes (7-5) have accepted an invitation to play in the Arizona Bowl in Tucson, Arizona on December 30th, 2022 vs. Ohio University (9-4).
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30pm Mountain Time.
UW has a 1-0 record in the Arizona Bowl, winning 38-17 vs. Georgia State in 2019.
Wyoming and Ohio have played each other 2 times, with the Brown and Gold winning 1 point contests both times, the last in 2008 in Laramie (34-33).
The Bobcats won the Mid-American Conference East Division, but lost 17-7 vs. Toledo in the MAC Championship Game.
Ohio is ranked 33rd in passing, averaging 285.3 yards per game.
This is the 12th time in 16 years, the Bobcats are playing in the bowl game.
Their last appearance was in the 2020 Potato Bowl in Boise, Idaho, where they defeated Nevada 30-21.
This will mark their first time in the Arizona Bowl, which is played on the University of Arizona football field.
