Kaylea “Kay” Dillie, 60, of Rozet, Wyoming was born on November 20, 1965, in Laramie, Wyoming to Janet and William Hersig. Kaylea Dillie passed away on January 19, 2026, in Gillette, Wyoming.

Kay was a bright, loving, and vibrant spirit whose presence filled every room she entered.

Kay married her soulmate, Valentine Dillie, on January 2, 1982. Together they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and deep family roots that they passed on to their children and grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Kay knew that she faced serious heart problems for more than 20 years. She met those challenges with courage, humor, and incredible strength. Though she fought bravely for so long, her heart finally grew too tired. Even through her struggles, she remained the same joyful, generous soul that everyone loved.

She enjoyed spending time outside whenever she could and found peace in tending to her garden. She had a lifelong passion for horses and a special fondness for hummingbirds—tiny visitors that always seemed to bring her joy. She lived her life with an open heart, a generous smile, and a warmth that made strangers feel like lifelong friends.

She is survived by her husband, Valentine Dillie; her daughter, Brandy Marshall, and Brandy’s three children—Lainie, Kinlie, and Hudsen; and her son, Brad Dillie, his wife Melanie, and their daughter Ashlynn. Kay adored her children, but being a grandmother was one of the greatest joys of her life. Her grandkids were truly her world. Kay also held a deep love for her nieces and nephews, treating each of them with the same kindness, laughter, and support she shared with everyone close to her.

Known for her happy, flamboyant personality, Kay shared love freely and loudly. She never knew a stranger, and she made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her laughter, her energy, and her unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

A Service will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at Journey Church in Gillette, Wyoming at 10:30 A.M., with a reception to follow at the church. Chaplin Alicia Matheson will be officiating.
