Susan Hitchcock
Susan Elaine Hitchcock, of Sheridan, WY, passed away on December 27, 2025, at her home. She was 67 years old.
Susan was born on January 5, 1958, in Lamar, CO, to Ronald and Willa Ewing. She grew up in Colorado and graduated from high school there. After she grew up, Susan met Ronald Wilson Bamberger and married him in 1984. The couple had two children – Jennifer Danielle and Ronald Wayne. Ronald Wilson predeceased Susan in 1986. After becoming a widow, Susan met Albert “Les” Hitchcock and the two were married in 1988. Together they had one daughter, Leslie Dawn.
Susan devoted her life to her family and community. She spent many years volunteering for Girl Scouts and her church, Bethesda Worship Center. She was a homemaker above all else and dedicated her time to raising her children, helping with their activities, and later, spending time with her grandchildren. She was always quick to share her joy with others – sharing photos of her children and grandchildren at every opportunity and giving hugs to anyone who needed one. Susan was an avid craftswoman, excelling in every craft she tried, especially crochet and sewing.
Susan was spirited, passionate, loving, kind, thoughtful, and generous. She was always quick with a witty comeback and a kind word. She loved Jesus and loved the people around her. Her strong-willed, family-focused outlook on life will continue to inspire and live on in her family, friends, and community.
Susan was met in heaven by her parents, first husband Ronald, later husband Albert, and her grandson Logan. She is survived by her children Jennifer, Ronald, and Leslie (husband Josef); her grandchildren Quin, Arielle, David, Eliza, Albert, and Cohen; and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses may be made to the family in care of Bethesda Worship Center.
