Rex Wayne Cahhal

Rex Cahhal, resident of Story, WY, passed away on 06/05/2025 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital at the age of 66 years. Rex was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Derrill and Iris Cahhal. The family relocated to Panorama City, California when Rex was five. He married his wife, Katy in February 1986. Their daughter Desirae was born in June of the next year. In the fall of 1991 Rex and family, including his parents, moved to the family’s current residence in Story, Wyoming. Rex was a tile contractor for 40+ years. He is still known for his quality and workmanship. He also volunteered a great deal of time at the local volunteer fire dept. He enjoyed his job and took great pride in a job well done, but it was his time in the fire department that he enjoyed the most as he always loved helping people. Rex is preceded in death by his parents Iris and Derrill Cahhal both of Story, Wyoming, his brother Russ Cahhal of Buffalo, Wyoming, and his wife Katy Cahhal also of Story, Wyoming. He is survived and greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law Desirae and Richie Kraft of Story, son and daughter-in-law Terry and Kari Cahhal of Laurel, Mt, grandchildren Dean Kraft and Adel Cahhal, niece Amanda Cahhal, nephew Tim Cahhal, and many great nieces and nephews as well as friends, colleagues and acquaintances.
