Ricky (Rick) L. Leach, 75, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Shepherd of the Valley in Casper, Wyoming. Rick was born in Sheridan on November 14, 1948.
Rick was an avid skier and spent much of his time at the Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area, in addition to many trips to Jackson Hole Ski Resort. He was a proud member of the National Ski Patrol. Rick also enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping with his wife, Ardis, whom he married on January 3, 1997. After Ardis passed on March 26, 2015, Rick’s constant companions in the outdoors were his beloved dogs, Cooper and Molly.
After graduation from high school in 1967, Rick entered the Army National Guard. He worked at Jersey Creamery until 1973 when he was employed by Decker Coal Company. He worked as an equipment operator for Decker Coal Company for 40 years, retiring in 2013.
Rick was preceded in death by his wife, Ardis, and his parents. Rick is survived by his sisters-in-law, Jeannie Norgard and Mary Norgard.
Services for Ricky Leach, will be held at Kane Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29th,
2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Phil Wold presiding. Rick will be interred in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery next to his beloved wife, Ardis.
