Juanita (Pierce) Heide beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She was 92 years old.
Nita was born on May 5, 1931, to Jesse and Bertha (Boggess) Pierce on her grandparent’s ranch east of Sheridan.
As a young girl, she grew up riding horses on her parent’s ranch in Bay Horse, MT. She loved taking care of her pet “wild” animals. Nita attended school in Bay Horse, MT. in a little one-room schoolhouse.
Nita worked several jobs before she met the love of her life Ed (Bill) Heide. They married on September 15, 1948, and to this union, they had two boys Keith and Kent.
Bill and Nita purchased Heide’s mobile home court in 1975. They owned & operated the court until they retired and sold it in 2000. They enjoyed their winter home in Mesa, Arizona from 1994-2005.
Nita’s joys were cooking for family and holiday meals. She loved spending time with her family at home and especially at the family cabin on the Big Horn Mountains. Nita was passionate about planting flowers and tending to her garden. She always set the bar high with fashion and her bling-bling jewelry. Nita kept their home in immaculate condition and was proud of it. Another enjoyment was gambling in Mesquite, NV, Deadwood, SD, or wherever she could find a slot machine. Sometimes you would find her playing two slots at once!
When her husband Bill passed away in 2010, Nita moved to a cottage at Sugarland Ridge. She was known as the Queen of bingo! She made several wonderful friends during her time there.
Mom and Grandma will be deeply missed. She was a kind gentle soul that always lent a helping hand.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister (Eva Bocek), brothers (Gerald and Basil Pierce), son Kent, and husband Bill.
She is survived by her son Keith (Debbie) Heide, granddaughters; Renea Parker, Candace Barbero, and Jessica (Myron) Holwell, grandson Justin (Stacy) Heide: 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Champion Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements. Online condolences may be written at www.championfh.com.
