A Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball player has announced where she will go to continue both getting an education and playing the sport she enjoys.
Piper Lieneman has signed her letter of intent to play volleyball for the Mount Marty University Lancers located in Yankton, South Dakota.
She says she has been playing volleyball since 6th grade at the Sheridan YMCA, and wants to major in pre-med.
Lieneman adds that the team bonding and celebrating is what makes it great for her, and Mount Marty University has the mentality that she likes.
“I just felt like I really fit there after the conversations on the phone I had with the coaches and after my visit. It was just kind of like a mentality that they had that I really agreed with. They want to build people rather than athletes, because being a good person comes before being a good athlete.”
Mount Marty University is an NAIA school that competes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
