The 4A meet was held in Rock Springs.

The Sheridan Lady Broncs brought home the state runner-up trophy and for the 2nd time in 3 years, Samantha Spielman is the 4A girls individual state champ.

After winning the state title as a sophomore she missed by 2 strokes in her junior year.

She says that was her reality check.

Samantha Spielman

“It’s harder to win state than you think. Sophomore year I won, so I kind of didn’t really know what I was doing. Sophomore year it just kind of happened, so then next year it was harder, so then this year I was coming back and I worked pretty hard all summer.”

For the Sheridan boys golf team, they placed 6th at the state meet.

Brock Owings finished tied for 1st individually, but lost in a playoff.

Sheridan is scheduled to host next year’s state meet.
