Doctor Martin Luther King Junior had a dream of a society that focuses on character, and not complexation.
Much has changed between then and now, and a new study by WalletHub, shows where each state ranks in terms of racial progress.
The study ranks Wyoming 1st for racial progress and 7th for most racial integration.
Among the categories studied for the ranking were which states had the highest change in median annual income gap, between Caucasians and African-Americans, and which states had the highest change in gap in the percentage of adults with at least a bachelor’s degree.
Montana ranked 20th in the racial progress category, but was 4th for most racial integration.
Wisconsin ranked in the bottom 3 in each of those categories.
