An evening designed for women to get free breast health exams as well as have some fun will be happening Tuesday night at the Family Medical Center in Buffalo.

Julia Bettinger, with the Johnson County Healthcare Center, gives more details on what will be happening tonight during the fourth annual Ladies Night Out Breast Health Night event.

Bettinger said 1 in 8 women will have breast cancer within their lifetime, which she said is an alarming number.

One way to save lives is to get screened, so this event is designed to help women help themselves concerning their breast health.

This year’s Ladies Night Out will be a little different because of COVID-19, but Bettinger explains how people will stay safe.

The Ladies Night Out Breast Health Night is free and open for everyone to attend and will be happening Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

Those planning to attend can enter through the Family Medical Clinic and be screened there.
