A driver for one of the local taxicab companies was found guilty of speeding in Sheridan’s police court yesterday afternoon and was fined $5 and costs.
G. B. Queen has been selected as marshal of the Labor Day parade in Sheridan this year. As is usual, the parade is to be the outstanding feature of the celebration on Sept. 6.
The Sheridan County Fair formally opened at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the county fairgrounds. Scores were in attendance for the start of the three-day event.
Mrs. Mary West entertained at a very pretty luncheon yesterday at her home on Heald Street.
