Cap Tax Project List Presented to City Council

Renewal of the one percent capital facilities tax will come before voters in Sheridan County in November. A project list that included 15 various projects in the City was presented to the City Council at a study session Monday night. City Public Works Director Lane Thompson said that the City’s portion of the not to exceed $40 million that would be raised from the tax is just under $23 million.
The current $40 million cap tax that was passed by voters in November of 2013 is expected to be collected in full by the spring of 2021. Renewal of the tax will be on the ballot for the General Election on November 3.
