Rep. Connolly Discusses Pending Election, Education Bills
State Representative Marilyn Connolly (HD40) in a recent talk with the Buffalo City Council, discussed legislation concerning elections and education she expects to be introduced this session.
She highlighted the Ballot Drop Box Prohibition Bill (HB0049), the Elections Acceptable ID Revision Bill (SF0029), and the Ballot Harvesting Bill (HB0050).
She discussed the concerns she has heard about these bills from senior citizens.
She touched on education bills such as the Literacy Position for K-3 Reading Program Bill (SF0014), a bill on discipline in the classroom and the education savings account which she has not seen assigned as yet.
She added that she believes the majority of the legislation in the House will probably be introduced, although she hopes some of it can be put on hold for a year to give them a chance to concentrate on this year’s budget session.
