Bozeman Trail Focus of Talk at Fort Phil Kearny

Without the Bozeman Trail taking travelers to the Montana Gold Fields, Fort Phil Kearny would not have been built, and the history of our area may have been very different.
On Sunday, May 18, at 1 p.m., the first program to be held in the new Interpretive Center at Fort Phil Kearny will be a talk about the Bozeman Trail.
Site Superintendent Shari Shada
Susan Badger Doyle is the author of “Journeys to the Land of Gold” and she is a member of the FPK/BTA Advisory Board Member.
She will present an overview of the trail itself, its context, and significance–incorporating her personal ‘discovery’ of the trail through trail diaries and the expertise of other Bozeman Trail scholars and the Fort Phil Kearny/Bozeman Trail Association.
The event is free and open to the public event.
