Sheridan College art students are selling some of their art in hopes of getting to see and learn more about what they enjoy making.
The College is holding its 2-day fall semester art sale for the public in the main lobby of the Whitney Academic Center.
Throughout the semester students have made various items such as pottery, bowls, sculptures and some crochet to name a few.
Rod Dugal, who is a Professor of Art at Sheridan College, says the sale is a big fundraiser as 20% of the proceeds goes to the Art Club.
He adds the money is used to provide opportunities for students to further broaden their art horizon.
“The art club uses that money either for travel to go to Denver or Red Lodge or somewhere to see big museums or they get visiting artists to come in, or just plan field trips and things like that, so it’s just basically for our art students who don’t get to travel to the big city very often, get them to see big artwork and big museums.”
The Art Sale concludes on Thursday, December 5th from 9am until 5pm.
Another sale is held near the end of the spring semester, which is usually around late April/early May.
