On December 3, Sheridan County School District #2 announced a significant investment in the future of local food production. On December 18th from 12-1 p.m., Sheridan High School will host an event to unveil the future of its greenhouses at the greenhouse location (1967 W. 5th St., Sheridan).

This event will highlight the many benefits these greenhouses will bring to the community, including: Enhanced educational opportunities – Students gain hands-on experience in horticulture, botany, and sustainable agriculture; Increased local food production – the greenhouses produce fresh, nutritious food for school meals and community organizations like the Food Group and Strengthens community partnerships – The district collaborates with local organizations to promote food security and sustainability.

Please join them for refreshments and light food as they celebrate this exciting milestone.

Don’t let this greenhouse fool you. It is a feel good project for all you yuppies and it is wasting tax dollars. It was just discovered that it has contaminated soil as well. The school can’t even take care of other more important needs, but they are willing to pour tons of money into this project just for the PR and promotion of their Event Center by the Greenhouse that will ruin Sheridan into the Jackson effect even more than it already is. The greenhouse and event center on 5th street are a joke!
