Aaron PalmerJohnson County’s Commissioners, during a recent meeting, announced there are board vacancies they were needing to fill.
Applications are now being accepted through December 20, with the positions to be voted on at the Commissioners’ Meeting on January 7, 2025.
The positions include one seat for a five-year term on the Airport Board; one seat for a three-year term on the Buffalo-Johnson County Recycling Center Joint Powers Board; one seat for a four-year term on the Johnson County Fair Board; two seats for three-year terms on the Johnson County Lodging Tax
Joint Powers Board; one seat for a two-year term on the Mountain Plains Heritage Park Joint Powers Board; two seats for four-year terms on the Planning Commission; one seat for an unexpired term ending July 1, 2026 and two seats for four-year terms on the One-Percent Optional Sales Tax Board; and one seat for a Sportsman to a three-year term with the Predator Control District.
Interested parties are asked to submit a letter of interest to the Johnson County Commissioner’s Office with the Board Application which can be found on the Commissioners’ page of the Johnson County Website.
