A few new parts of the Buffalo Main Street project are scheduled to begin on Monday, September 9th and one part of the project has been postponed.

WYDOT says beginning Monday, paving of the southbound lane on Main Street from Hart Street to Airport Road will start.

Head-to-head traffic will remain in the northbound lane.

Milling of North Main Street from Airport Road to I-90 will continue.

Eastbound I-90 traffic that uses exit 56A, will encounter a stop sign at the bottom of the ramp and will be merged into the detour lane.

Milling and paving of the off-ramp exit has been postponed to later this month.

Work is also scheduled to start Monday on the Main and East Bennett Street intersection and will require a closure.

Motorists are advised to be on the lookout for detours.

Isolated sidewalk repairs on downtown Main Street are also being worked on.

WYDOT says this will reduce the amount of work and impact to the downtown area next spring.

Those businesses that will be affected by the work, will be contacted by WYDOT, to discuss the work schedule and impact.
