Rooted in Wyoming Fundraiser Draws Large Crowd

The annual fundraiser for Rooted in Wyoming was held on Sept. 7 at their new location at Bridgers at 5 Lane Lane. According to Ian Cannon-Wallace, over 200 advance tickets were sold, with many being sold at the door as well.

There were several vendors on the grounds, including Riley Rankin, high school senior, who raises goats and sells goat milk products.

He currently has nine goats and is milking three of them.

Shawna Hampshire, of Freedom Foods store that specializes in raw milk from Cross E Dairy as well as other local products.

She added this about the Freedom Foods act.

Products at the fundraiser included breads and desserts, as well as produce and condiments from Freedom Foods.

There were several growers promoting their goods, including Luc and Rachel Bourgault who run Lower Piney Heirloom Vegetable Gardens, Banner.

Adam Bunker Operations Manager & Director of Fancy Words and Papa Joe Wesnitzer, owner and founder, were there with Papa Joe’s Produce. Bunker talked about the business.

The Brinton Bistro food truck provided food, all made with locally sourced products. They had burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, and a vegetable option, a stuffed zucchini boat, along with several salad options.

There was live music, and various beverages for all to enjoy as well.

Rooted wanted to thank those who helped to make the fundraiser a success.
