UW to Host Stan Lee Super-Con Labor Day Weekend

The University of Wyoming has announced the Stan Lee Super-Con, a “comic con” event hosted in conjunction with the American Heritage Center’s (AHC) “Stan Lee: Beyond the Book” exhibition on the UW campus. The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1, at the UW Conference Center connected to the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie.

According to UW, ticketed attendees will have access to the “Stan Lee Super-Store” that will be filled with comic books, video games, action figures, artwork and a menagerie of pop culture collectibles for sale. Plus, they’ll meet special Marvel Comic guests Lenore Zann (“X-Men ’97”), Alex Saviuk (“Spider-Man”) and Tony Daniels (“X-Men: The Animated Series”), who will be available for fan selfies and autographs.

All Stan Lee Super-Con admission options will include free admission to the “Stan Lee: Beyond the Book” exhibition, so visiting comic fans can enjoy a weekend experience with a deeper dive into the history behind the Marvel movies and Disney+ series. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take some of that history home to read, enjoy and share from the Stan Lee Super-Store and the con-exclusive Stan Lee poster by guest Marvel artist Saviuk. All Super-Con VIP ticket options include this poster free with an admission band at the event.

Tickets to Stan Lee Super-Con are available online by clicking here and at the door. General admission tickets are $15; advance VIP tickets are $25 ($30 at the door); student tickets are $7.50; and there is no admission fee for children 12 and under. Parking is free.
