Legislative Forum Hears about Child Development Center

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Legislative forum brought together Sheridan County Organizations and Legislators to discuss concerns.
Senators Dave Kinskey and Bo Biteman, along with Representatives Barry Crago, and Cyrus Western, Mark Jennings and Ken Pendergraft, joined the 30 organizations that attended the forum.
One of the presenters was Marsha Riley with the Child Development Center.
She had a slide show to illustrate her talk.

The CDC offers free early childhood screening for youngsters in Sheridan and Johnson Counties from birth to five years old. The screening helps identify potential delays or developmental needs in young children.
Research shows that early screening and intervention greatly improve a child’s positive growth and development. Screenings include communication skills, cognition, motor skills, hearing and vision. They also offer early intervention to help children with speech and language and other developmental milestones.
