Sheridan Memorial Hospital has put together its new strategic plan that will be in effect between now and 2026.

The plan identifies four priority areas for strategic initiatives, those being hospital employees, services, facilities and models of operation.

The Hospital is also evaluating the services it offers and among its priorities are the development of a behavioral health system of care and clinical infrastructure.

Facilities projects in the plan also include an ambulatory procedures suite for colonoscopy and endoscopy, along with a renovation and reorganization of the surgical services suite.

Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty explains how the strategic plan is put together.

“It’s about gathering data from our community, from our patients, listening to our medical staff and our employees and getting together with our leadership and our board and just kind of talking through how we make the right investments going forward and what those investments should look like and so we’ve identified some strategic themes that are very important to us in terms of investing our resources.”

McCafferty adds the hospital will evaluate the strategic plan in two years to ensure it is on track to meet its goals.
