Executive Director of the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center, Erin Butler, is warning customers to only purchase tickets to WYO Theater events by visiting the box office or through the official WYO Theater website.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Butler explained the complexities of the ticket purchasing process through the WYO Theater website.
Butler warned the public of third-party websites purchasing tickets to WYO Theater events and then scalping those tickets online through their own websites at an increased cost.
The third-party scalping practice has already cost some Sheridan residents considerable amounts of money.
The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center does not condone or support these websites. Butler would like all residents and visitors to the Sheridan area to enjoy performances for the cost set by the theater.
The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center webpage can be reached by clicking here. Click on the event you would like to attend, this will open another page explaining the event which contains a large icon that reads, “Buy Tickets”, click the ticket icon. This action will take you to the Etix site, the only online vendor for WYO Theater tickets.
