Protect and serve may be the general motto of law enforcement agencies, but sometimes it’s helpful to meet with the public to find out how they can protect and serve better.

On Wednesday (August 16th) Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Dominguez, Lieutenant Devereaux Johnson and deputies will be in the town of Big Horn for a community outreach event and to meet with the public over some chips and dip.

The event will take place from 5:30 until 7:30pm at the Big Horn Women’s Club, located at 314 South 2nd Street.

Big Horn doesn’t have a central government, so the Sheriff’s Department doesn’t have that constant open line of communication.

The Department used to hold social gatherings about every three months until the time the covid pandemic started.
