Council Receives Update on Pay-As-You-Throw Pilot Program

The pilot study for the Pay-As-You-Throw and Commercial Organics Collection programs began last November and will continue through the end of April. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts began his update to the Council by providing details on the PAYT study.
Roberts said PAYT is intended to help alleviate the amount of waste that goes into the City landfill.
Roberts explained how the Commercial Organics Collection program is faring.
Roberts said that the results from the pilot study will be presented to the Council in mid May.
