Small Plane Crashes On I-80 Near Laramie

A pilot has escaped unharmed from a small single-engine plane crash east of Laramie.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says at about 2:40pm Sunday (May 14th), troopers were called to the scene on I-80 at milepost 324, which is about 8 miles east of Laramie and near the Summit Rest Area.

The unidentified female pilot was the only person in the plane.

The aircraft was flying from British Columbia in Canada to Florida.

The FAA is investigating the incident, which is unrelated to a fatal crash that happened elsewhere in the county.
