Ensemble members producing plays written by fifth graders

WYO PLAY and the Young Theatre Makers Ensemble will travel to Laramie this summer to perform plays that have been written by a group of fifth graders. 

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, WYO Play lead teacher and founder, Grace Cannon-Wallace gave listeners an update on what the Young Theatre Makers Ensemble have been working on. 

The Young Theatre Makers Ensemble is a program that brings together high school theatre artists from around the Sheridan area to collaborate and grow as people and as performers through classes and theatrical productions. 

According to WYO PLAY, during the spring, ensemble members meet on Saturday mornings to take part in masterclasses, scene studies, workshops, and script readings. During the Summer, Ensemble members gain experience both on and offstage, producing their own theatrical production.
