Since its inception in 1985, Make-A-Wish Wyoming has been able to make wishes come true for 700 Wyoming kids.
Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Wyoming, Morgan Poloncic, told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, the milestone is bittersweet.
Currently, Make-A-Wish Wyoming is working to fulfill the wishes of 42 children in the Cowboy State. Poloncic is optimistic that 10 of these wishes will be fulfilled in the next two months.
The wishes are granted to children with not only terminal illnesses, but those fighting critical illness as well. According to Poloncic, that is a widely believed misconception.
Poloncic also stated that none of these wishes would have been granted without the help of Wyoming volunteers. Make-A-Wish Wyoming is a network of regular people who accomplish amazing feats to ensure wishes come true.
