Aaron PalmerDuring their regular meeting this week, the Sheridan County Commission adopted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the county and the Wyoming County Commissioners Association (WCCA) concerning the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) effort to revise the Greater Sage Grouse Plan.
Commission Chair Christi Haswell explained what the purpose of the MOU was and why Sheridan County needed to be a part of it.
Commissioner Alan Thompson asked Haswell for clarification that by Sheridan County adopting the MOU the county would then have a seat at the table to discuss with the BLM the changes they will make in the coming years to the plan whether or not the county has a seat at the table.
Haswell said that was exactly the case.
The commissioners voted to accept the MOU.
