Buffalo City Council to Allocate One Percent Funds

Buffalo’s City Council will have their first meeting of March Tuesday afternoon, and will work through a light agenda.
Scheduled for the meeting is the approval by the council for the allocation of funds for the Optional 1% tax to outside agencies.
According to the Resolution, the funding is for organizations not directly managed by the city, or a joint powers board the city is not a member of.
Last year’s allocation from the city was $165,000.
Also on the agenda is the first reading of Ordinance No. 1414, which will approve the annexation of the Deer Park Addition to the City of Buffalo if approved on three readings.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Buffalo’s City Hall, and the public is welcome to attend.
